Calves For A Cause is an annual charity sale hosted at the Canadian Dairy XPO April 2nd at 7pm in the WeCover Cow Coliseum, raising funds for the Children’s Health Foundation. The sale features the best of Canadian dairy calves, including top genomics and high end show calves, across several breeds.
Calves for a Cause takes place every April at the Canadian Dairy XPO. In 2025 it will be hosted April 2nd at 7pm in the WeCover Cow Coliseum Stratford, Ontario. Over 17,000 producers attend CDX annually.

The sale proceeds are donated to the Children’s Health Foundation in London, Ontario, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children’s health care and improving the lives of children in the region. The foundation primarily raises funds to support specialized programs and services for the Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) and other related children’s health initiatives.
Dairy producers Darryl & Sarah Markus started the sale to help raise money for the Children’s Health Foundation in London, Ontario. Their son, Brooks, has 2 rare medical conditions and has spent a lot of time in the Children’s Hospital and in the Pediatric Critical Care Unit (PCCU) in London.
